Raphael Ndifreke Ibangha, popularly know as RAFA ‘EL, is a Nigerian performance poet and spoken word artiste who hails from Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. The Abuja born poet got his degree in accounting from the University of Abuja and currently resides in Uyo, Nigeria.
RAFA ‘EL started writing poetry in his university days and has been active in the poetry scene since then. The founder of a five-poet group (that have made honorable mentions and emerged finalists in the Abuja Literary Society’s Poetry slams). RAFA ‘EL along with his group on several occasions have hosted OpenMics.
The talented spoken word poet kicks off his career with his debut spoken word poetry titled THAT OLD’S COOL which has been receiving positive reviews from critics and euphoric reactions from fans.
The Uyo based poet seems promising enough to stay and change the game of poetry in the country. In his words:
